I watched the 2nd set of paszek. Danielas coach was there watching the match next to me lol. Paszek was very very good. A potential bananaskin if Daniela doesn't hit through the court.

Thanks for the report eddy. How was Paszek's serve? It's been a liability in all other matches I've seen of hers.

Her first serve was pretty good, but yes her 2nd serve is very slow but was slicing out wide a lot which gave Erakovic problems.

I expect that the Hantuchova vs Paszek will probably be on court 1 rather than centre on Wednesday due to her being a low seed, so Daniela will have to adjust to the different court. Would be good for Daniela if her 2nd round is on centre again though...as Paszek played her 1st round on an outside court.

See what happens when I put my picture with Dani on here? :haha:
Congrats, Eddy. As you know, there's nothing better than watching Daniela in person. Your report is not wildly encouraging, but it's just a relief that she finally got win #476. % of pts. won on first serve was phenominal. And it is her first straight set win since Dubai and the least number of games lost since the semi in Pattaya, so I guess there's a few things to take heart from. If her opponent played poorly...well, it's about (bleep)ing time that happened! Absolutely loved your description of Dani being surrounded and signing for children. Daniela through and through. (Did you pretend to be a child!?)
Now, if I'm going to call myself a Daniela Maniac, I have to prove it every so often. And so, with deep apologies to Satchmo Louie Armstrong and John Sebastian, here we go!

"Hello, Dani. Well, hello, Dani! It's so nice to have you back where you belong! You're looking swell, Dani. We can tell, Dani! You're still growing, you're still glowing, you're still going strong! Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back!!"

Let's Go, Daniela!

A good solid win. It's only Daniela's second win on tour since Dubai which shows the extent her year's been disrupted by illness and injury but it's a win and she's through to the next round. Her service stats are pretty solid, especially on first serve although second serve points won weren't great. eddy was saying her serve was realtively slow so I'm wondering how good her shoulder is. Daniela's won fairly easily so that will give her some confidence and a bit of momentum.

Paszek's been playing poorly all year but she got to the Wimbledon quarter-final last year so she can play well on grass and a slumping player that gets a win can have a big surge of confidence and be a dangerous opponent.

Thanks for the report, eddy.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Hey guys a question for you. Will Venus and clijsters be bumped up to a seeding for Wimbledon? What do you reckon? I hope so...this would probably make Daniela no.30 seed.

Massive chance for Daniela to make the semis Radwanska just got thrashed by Pironkova! Kvitova also lost and Wozniacki is a set behind against McHale. Comon Daniela!

I could see them doing it for Venus but not for Clijsters. Venus has accomplished a lot more there and to me is always a threat there.

Radwanska just lost as did Kvitova, Wozniacki is also down a set to McHale.

Daniela/Zheng through to quarter-finals of doubles as Mirza/Suarez retired. Nice little workout for Daniela.

Gotta like that. A mere 29 minutes. Yesterday was 1:12. Never say this without trepidation, but with that plus today's upsets, some dominoes are falling into place, and from what I gather, Daniela could get back a nice chunk of the points lost while she was out. Keep hopeful, and never give up on the good times!

Let's Go, Daniela!
