The second round opponent is much easier than the first one - this happens only with Daniela !

Anyway, if Daniela is healthy then she surely has a chance against Safina, just look at yesterday's match, it could go either way.

I guess we can take heart that yesterday's match was very close and that the match will most definitely be on arthur ashe/armstrong/grandstand. Quite honestly I don't anyone will want to see either of these players get knocked out 1st round...

  Daniela is unlucky at the US Open. If it wasn't Safina then it would have been Ivanovic...

OMG OMG OMG

Seriously?

This just can happen only to Daniela :/

The last match was very close.... BUT! Safina is getting better and better now. And yes Safina will have higher confidence that she managed to win over Daniela in straight sets and it will be much easier mentally for Safina, I think... which is the last thing we need right now.

No fucking way, this is bullshit. I was thinking Daniela had to get a decent draw sometime and that there are only a couple of dangerous floaters that I'd want her to avoid so, of course, she ends up with one of them.
Pretty much every tournament since Rome Daniela's had a really tough opening round. How long is this going to last?

New Haven was very close and Daniela wasn't fully fit so as long as she's recovered and fit then she has a pretty reasonable chance, but Safina looks like she's finding her form again just when she plays Daniela. Still, if Daniela gets past Safina you really have to favour her against King or McHale.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

You can see that neither seeding helps to Daniela :/

If she loses in 1R... I would rather take shes not seeded and would pass at least the 1R...then she would meet some of the seeds...

Now theres a chance she will have a close 1R lose, which I really don want for her to happen again, at GS!!!?

Daniela pls get fit!

Hope she will win this time :|

Kirilenko has just beaten Safina... So hope Daniela will be able to win her match, too.

But she must be fit :/

In this case its good that Daniela has some time to recover and reanalyse the mistakes she made during her last match, what to improve...

Good luck Daniela! Well luck is not on her side... so Great groundstrokes to you I wish! Dont let us down, pls. Take the Challenge!

 this is a joke.

Will daniela be out of the top 30 if she loses her opening round here?

I say that whatever happens in NY she must re-think her remaining of the season. Play more international tourneys to get that ranking up and then be able to play the big ones.

Do your best daniela!
