Nice doubles win...might be good to team up in Roland Garros. Wanting Daniela to prepare for Doha soon though as she's not actually too far from top 20 now in terms of points. Around 500.

Nice win in the doubles and a good run here will get Daniela used to the conditions in the gulf before Doha. Plus, Daniela winning is always good.

Kvitota felt the same as Daniela:

But the strain of competition and travel meant that neither had enough time to recover before beginning their campaign for one of the most sought-after titles on the WTA tour.

"I met Daniela after her match, and she said, 'I'm so tired. I didn't know what's going on on the court'. Yeah, it was the same for with me," said Kvitova. "Yeah, it's tough if you are playing indoor for me, for example, and I arrive Monday morning and here it's outside and windy and sunny. So, yeah, it was not good preparation.

"Well, it's up to us. I could choose that I'm not playing here for sure. But I played, so..."

Hantuchova was defeated 6-1, 6-3 by Russian journeywoman Anna Chakvetadze, who had previously managed just one win in her previous three tournaments this year. Having only arrived from Thailand on Monday, Hantuchova admitted she felt listless and dizzy.

"I felt so tired," she said. "Felt like I didn't have much energy on the court. I know the tennis was not very pretty. I was trying my best and trying to get into the match but physically it was just impossible today. I couldn't even keep track of the score at one point. I didn't know what the score is. It was kind of tough to be focused on the game."

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

I give a lot more respect to wozniacki now last year didn't she win montreal and then new haven or something back to back. Pretty impressive stuff to be able to do that.

I wouldn't give too much respenct to wozniacki, I mean its not that difficult to sit and wait for your opponent to make errors while you push the ball around the court. Sorry I'm not a big fan of wozniacki at all, I think she is one of the most boring tennis players alive. I've seen her play live and actually fell asleep during the match, it was the New Haven final against Ann C actually.

Whether or not you find her tennis boring is pretty irrelevant. Just because she doesn't hit as many winners as other players in the top 10, doesn't make her wins any less respectable. If it wasn't "difficult" to simply "push the ball around the court" then a lot more players would do it...

I wouldn't worry so much, conditions in Doha will be very similar to Dubai, and I'm happy for her to get as many matches as possible under her belt.

Good to see another promising result. :)

Another good win in the doubles and it helps Daniela get back some of the momentum she had in Pattaya. It seems like Daniela and Agnieszka could make a pretty decent team.
