Okay Mathius, something different again. Norwegian folk (metal), I wish I could understand the lyrics.

Thats was good. I listened to another of thier tracks and i found the guitars didn't shine. Tho that is good for they didn't just blast out any old noise. Good listen thanks. I have a band here called Majster Kat - Tien Minulosti from Slovakia. I came across them while doing some research on Slovakia. I don't personally like them but it seems like a band that you would like based on the vids you have posted. I can sence a huge Kill Em All/Lightning/Puppets Metallica influence dont you agree. The other vid is one of my compatriots Dragonforce - Heroes Of Our Time (New Single)

Im wonder what Tien Minulosti means. Im lead to believe that Czech is similar to Slovak. I was wonder if you knew what it means in English thanks.

Let me know what you think Martin. And i would like to know what everyone else thinks :D

Tieň minulosti means Shadow of the past. I just listened to it and couldn't understand a word. It was fine good old school thrash, but I am more into more atmospheric and darker side of metal. There are many good bands from Slovakia, I will try to find something and post links.
Dragonforce sounds like a power metal and that's a metal genre completely beyond my understanding. I never got into it. Speed/power metal vocals aren't my cup of tea (any sort of growling is much better, well I know you disagree :P ) and I also don't particularly enjoy the drumming. Riffs are very good, though.

Oh cool thanks. sometimes its hard to understand some of those screamers lol. Hmm darker side as in death metal i presume. Oh looking forward to the posts. Im really interseted in hearing Slovak music. Metal or Nationalist stuff. As far as screaming goes its fine if i can understand what are sing foreign or not. Most of the time they are just blabbering a load of bull. Satanists aswell. I hate them including Marylin Manson and Slayer. I cant stand that. Tho most of the bands have decent riffage its just spoilt by pointless jibberish. Yea i enjoy my thrash/speed metal. Trivium, Machine Head and Dragonforce to name a few. Though i tend to nowadays listen to more melowed out music like Jazz.

I am mainly into black and gothic metal, exactly the stuff you hate.
But I know some of those people and they are not nearly as bad, most of them use it as an on-stage image anyway.

First two slovakian bands. I love it

And another classic from Slovakia. This time heavier. They are amazing live performers, saw them many times. I doubt you will enjoy it, though.

Lol i never said i hated it. I just cant get my head around the vocals. Its jsut seem so unnatural. I prefered the second vid. The first band seems odd. The drummer was starnge and his choice of fills and beats were odd. He decided to a 1-2 beat on the breakdown bit which didn't sound right and some of their playing was ever so slightly out of time. Yea i liked the second one far better.

It may be poor technically, but I find so many emotions and feelings in it. That's what I am looking for in music primarily.

BlueDragon might like this one.

I liked the music in this one. It has a great harmonizing part that i like and the drumms are pummeling dbut the lyrics just dosnn't hit off for me lol. Though don't get me wrong the music is good. I quite like the struture they used. Good

Tristania was good. I could probably live with the eerie sounding lyrics and the little celtic parts are refeshing (Thats what they sound like to me lol). I will keep an eye on them. Are they Slovak also?

I tried to listen to that Coheed and Cambria band, good musicians but I just couldn't get over the vocals.

What about this? A Polish band.
