I'd like to introduce you all too a really good friend of mine, Hannah Inwood.

Hannah has entered a competition to become Miss Southend on Sea 2010, where the winner goes on to the Miss England competition for a chance to compete at Miss World.

About a week or so ago Hannah had a fairly comfortable lead until the current leader suspiciously gained 3000 votes in a matter of days and now leads the online voting stage of the competition.

I'd like to ask all the members of this forum to help me and my friend out by voting for her at this address

You can vote once every 24 hours so please not only vote today but continue to vote once a day until the deadline on the 25th April.

The lead is down to 800, so a big improvement over the last couple of days, hopefully can get her a bit closer every day between now and the deadline

Remember you can vote EVERY 24 HOURS so make sure you vote everyday and pass the message on

There is just over 700 votes between 1st and 2nd now, so like I said before a big improvement over the last couple of days, it's unlikely that she'll make up the gap in the next two weeks but it aint over till it's over.

It seems like the army of people who were voting for her have decided not to bother much anymore, probably thinking she's too far ahead, but last few days Hannah's managed to wipe 600 votes off of her lead so who knows, still 11 days to go till voting ends :)

that's a bit strange. did they just add 300 votes to Bates? what about the other participants who (theoretically) would like to have a chance, too. the gap is growing and growing..


btw: I don't think that such an online voting is the right way to decide who can participate in the Miss England contest.
Miss Southend on Sea will not only be beautiful and look great in what ever she wears but she will hold...

You're right, however the online vote doesnt decide who win's the competition, it is used to determine who goes through to the finals of Miss Southend on Sea. After that there are interviews with the judges and a live final (not live as in on tele as in live there and then live, I can't find the words to explain it) where there will be a number of other rounds, but by winning the online vote it does get one over on the other competitors and will undoubtedly play some part in deciding the overall winner of the competition.

The lead is now down to less than 200, with a week left to go, as long as there isnt another surge of votes again like there was last week she could do it :)
