Kirilenko d. Vaidisova w/o - Nicole misses the match entirely because she's watching Radek Stepanek (lose of course) at another tournament.

Hantuchova d. Radwanska 6-2, 6-2 - Frustrated by a season full of disappointing results, Daniela surprisingly puts together her best match since defeating Radwanska by the same margin in Melbourne. Radwanska played her usual flawless defensive game but Daniela seemed to catch every single line call.

Szavay d. Cibulkova 2-6, 7-5, 6-0 - Cibulkova was well on her way to securing a victory until her latest boyfriend Jurgen Melzer dumped her mid-match (He's with Hingis again). Dominika mentally crumbled from that point. After the match, Dominika and Nicole had a drink together to try and blow off some steam. After sharing some mutual frustration with their experiences dating ATP players, they decide to swear off men all together . . . and date each other. :? :o

Dementieva d. Rybarikova 6-3, 6-2 - Elena is just a much, much better player at this point.

From Elite 8 to Famous 4

The day featuring back-to-back action by the Elite 8.

(26)Miss Vaidisova was the first player to advances with a convincing vote of 4-1 against the young Russian, (32)Miss Kirilenko. Vaidisova was in the lead and she manage to keep Kirilenko mouth shut. However, during the game, Kirilenko took 11 times break for treating her make up and mascara. Thanks god Vaidisova was not affected by Kirilenko trick game.

Meeting her next is hantuchova.com forum favorite, (14)Miss Hantuchova who manage to bagel her opponent once again. She is now had bagel streak 2 opponent. The recently bagel out was (10)Miss Radwanska. Radwanska is trying her best but no luck for her because Hantuchova obtain a perfect vote of 5-0. During the interview after the game end, she enraged and stated that "No body will gonna win this if Hantuchova is still in the game. She need to be STOPPED!! She was halted by the police because she purposely pulled an Eurosport reporter hair.

The third match is full of drama. (27)Miss Szavay was in the lead 2-0 before (20)Miss Cibulkova found her late form and draw the match to an even 2-2. Thanks to a late vote by pmrd44, Szavay close the tight race with a 3-2 win. Miss Szavay comment the match as a HARD and TIRING match. She was even happier when she found out that she had beaten the new Slovak number 1.

The night match was a MAJOR upset for the whole world (Oh, okay, just for me I guess.. :lol: ). Unseeded,newcomer and youngster from Slovakia slammed (5)Miss Dementieva with a 3-2 win. Dementieva was the highest seed left and the top contender for the title after the departure of Jankovic, Safina, S. Williams and Ivanovic in the earlier 2 rounds. The girl who cause a global phenomena is Miss Rybarikova, a champion in the making. She has a tremendous run here with a win against some top player such as Sugiyama,Schnyder and Golovin. She is certainly a player that need to be watch.

The Famous 4 line up has been revealed. Hantuchova is predicted to bagel Vaidisova while the match between Rybarikova and Szavay is still a bit mystery. So, who will finally enter the FINAL SHOWDOWN??

Vaidisova just sitting at the bench and waiting for the umpire to end the game. She say "I'm in or I'm out. Hantuchova still win!!"

Rybarikova trying to upset Szavay but Szavay studied her game for a thousand time yesterday. Rubarikova just lost her steam.

Vaidisova's unexpected run made her very tired, like the slovak star, but Daniela had the bigger fighting spirit and won in a close third set.

After the loss of Cibulkova, Rybarikova was the only chance to take it to an all-slovakian final. Szavay, after having played a bad season, didn't have the momentum on her side and lost to Magda in two sets.

In today's first match Slovakian Hantuchova beat czech Vaidisova. From the beginning of the match Daniela came out firing hitting winners after winner. After the match in the post-match interview Hantuchova said she didn't tolerate having a negative H2H vs Vaidisova in 2008 (remember the meet in Sydney in January) with the way Vaidisova has been losing ever since.

In the second match of the day, another Slovak was in action. However, she didn't fare was well. She lost a close match to Hungarian Szavay who despite winning made no less than 30 double faults. Though Szavay claims she has been been working on her serve all year.

The Semi Final End

After long week of crucial voting, the semi final end yesterday with some predicted result.

Miss Daniela Hantuchova as expected bagel out Miss Vaidisova with a 5-0 win. Hantuchova was on top of her form even the game started. She succeed in doing 47 winner and only 6 error. Vaidisova was in contrast of Hantuchova with she doing only 5 winner and 89 error.

In the post match interview, Hantuchova said that the match is boring and Vaidisova is so coward today. Vaidisova however did not counterattack the statement but only replying that she is sick today and the win was a pure luck for Hantuchova consider that she is ill today.

The contender for the FANTASY TENNIS CUP is Miss Agnes Szavay who was in deficit 1-2 against Miss Rybarikova but manage to rallied back and advances to the final showdown with a 3-2 win. This is certainly a great run for Szavay who manage to defeat back-to-back 2 Slovak player. In the quarterfinal, she defeated Cibulkova and in this semifinal game, she defeated Rybarikova.

The question is now, will Szavay manage to beat the HOT FAVORITE and her third back-to-back Slovak player, Hantuchova?? Or she will just ended with the same fate like other Hantuchova opponent except Azarenka who was bagel out by Hantuchova?? The faith is now in your hand. Be sure to vote.

I love Magda but Vaidisova is still my number 5 or 6 favorite..

Ok Daniela is my favourite,because she is a great player and hot favourite on this forum...And 3rd place deserves a surprise Rybarikova,who had her greatest tournament so far. ;)
