Still number 12 after such a bad period. That is not too bad.

not bad until after usopen.then starts the calvary.most points from top-15
to defend

yep she was the second best player from after the us open till the masters, only justine had more points.

i wish it was september-october 2007 again :D
on the other hand, all those matches was the start of the heel injury

yes which means she will be down to (1770-750+5) 1025 points by the end of the season if she exists in R1 of all tournaments. 1025 as it looks right now would give her a ranking of 28. So unless she gets some points underway, she will almost be out of top30, damn.
During January she will drop 485 from Sydney and Australian Open. Down to 540, which means out of top50 again (if she fails to win any matches that is). So ranking-wise the rest of the year is very important.

However, she will get 1 point as a minimum for the tournaments she enters, and this gets me to a year-end of 1770-750+5 = 1025

WOW!! :o this is bad. it really adds up all the points she has to defend from late last season and early this season. but i believe in daniela, she can make it back into the top 10. she is probably looking forward to the off season for a well deserved break (although she will be probably training a lot).

A good thing is next season she will not have too too many points to defend other then at the AO. while players like safina will have plenty.
