Okay, is old, but I think it's interesting now. It says: The Slovak Daniela Hantuchova is preparing together with her coach Angel Gimenez and training partner Albert Portas in Barcelona.

So she now them before, and maybe he has something to do with the academy?

I thought something similar when I saw he was from Spain, that he might have a connection with the academy.

So Daniela will prepare for the AO with Albert Portas.. I dunno what to think of this, I hardly know Portas. He hadn't a great career as a player, but maybe he's a better coach. At least better than nobody.

Interesting that Daniela is going to team up with Ai again :D

Daniela is not with the Sanchez-Casal anymore. Let's see whether this collaboration with Portas will be only a part time thing or something more serious.

Guys here, I translated the text. Sorry for the mistakes, I did it very quickly:

The 2008 season is over and the coaches hecticness continues. The last change to come out has Spanish flavor because Alberto Portas will be Slovak Daniela Hantuchova's new coach. Daniela Hantuchova has been training in Florida with her new coach, Alberto Portas. The Slovak will spend her holidays with her loved ones and then both will meet in Australia to take on the start of the 2009 season, where the tenist will begin in the tournaments of Brisbane and Sydney, before the AO.

Her priority is to climb up in the WTA rankings, where she now has the 21th spot -though she once reached the 5th in the world, in 2003-. Also, Daniela will play in Australia some tournaments in the branch of doubles, teaming up with Ai Sugiyama. Daniela Hantuchova believes that the new calendar is beneficial for tenists.

"The new calendar gives more time for recovery, something very important. Tennis demands to be in a good physical and mental condition for a whole year, and next year between tournaments we will have some days to prepare and relax. The Slovak, 25 years old with residence in MonteCarlo, has a very clear goal for 2009 with Portas as her technical coach: "My objective is to play the Masters Cup at the end of the season".

Hope this new coach is a good choice... Im not sure about her leaving Sanchez Casal

Nice to hear Daniela speaking so positively about the up coming season, just have to wait and see what the new coach will bring.

Thank you for the translation Helio

Well... I hope that this change make her play better and feel better... Personaly, I prefered Sanchez-Casal Academy, but... what the hell, let's wait... I have a good feeling for 2009.. ( I said the same thing about 2007)

On the road:
2008 Porsche Cayenne
2002 Porsche Boxster
2005 Land Rover Range Rover

On the court:
Hantuchova is ranked 12th in the WTA. She achieved a career-high of 5th place in 2003 and has won three singles tournaments, eight women’s doubles tournaments and four mixed doubles tournaments, including the US Open in 2005 and Wimbledon in 2001.

“I like high performance and stylish cars,” Hantuchova says. “I find long drives soothing, especially after being on airplanes week after week.”

“I’d like to own an Aston Martin one day and wouldn’t mind an all-time classy Bentley or sleek Maserati either,” she says.
OMG... the two things I love the most, Danka and cars, together for the first time... That's too much for me... :hearts: :hearts:

Danka + Porsche = Perfect combination!!!!

the chat isn't working for me either, what is she scheduled for?

Scheduled as in not having time to do merely as she pleases but has prior obligations. Everyones optimism falters at some point, everyones. But these people are persistent as dogs. We would not be having this discussion if this did not happen as I've said in the past. It's like seeing a rose garden and smelling a pile of shit.

Anyways scheduled to play is what I meant. Does she schedule anything else?
