I'm not going to do backflips over this

Changed my mind. For last night I am going to do back-Flipkens! ;)

This was terrific to awaken to. Nicely done, Daniela! Benji, eddy and Chungwit, my sincere thanks for your reports, especially the details about how Daniela's game is coming along. This league's matches are all middle of the nighters in New York, and the IPTL site is worthless, so thank you again, guys.

Looks like the Slammers will be the bottom feeders. Fine with me, could be an omen. It hardly did Dani any good for the Aviators to finish first in WTT and for her to have a bad day in the playoffs.

I'm quite liking daniela having to face tough opposition here. I think it might allow her to regain some form, since she has barely had the chance to meet decent players this year due to her abysmal play.

Makes me hopeful for 2015.

So what is this Carlos Rodriguez thing? Is it just off-season training?

Yeah, just preparing her for the new season. He isn't going to be able to travel due to his commitments with the Beijing Academy.

Thank God Daniela doesn't have to play Ana anymore. Those matches are just designed to piss Daniela supporters off. She lost both matches today, but she is still playing quite well,so that is a consolation.

Slammers lose 24-28.

Yeah, both 6-5. In the immortal words of Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs.....AAwwwwww, that's bad! No, that's good!

This is another case of Daniela being so near but so far. Damned tiebreaks again they've been her bete noire over the past few years, although Ivanovic dominated this one while Daniela really should have won in Delhi. Still as long as she beats Ivanovic on the tour then all this will be forgotten. Daniela's competitive with top players here so that should give her confidence for next year.

Berdych made the score competitive winning 8-4 against Monfils but Singapore lost all their other matches.

Daniela's first up against Wozniacki, then she's third with Soares in mixed doubles.

2-0, Daniela holds to 30.
3-0, Daniela breaks to 40 on her 2nd BP.

Mladenovic has come on to replace Wozniacki

4-1, Mladenovic saves 2 BPs to hold to 40.
5-1, Daniela holds to 30.
6-1, Daniela breaks to 40 on a Mladenovic DF. Daniela had a set point at 15-30 on a power point but Mladenovic saved it with a service winner before Daniela won the last two points of the match.

So Daniela held serve every time in each match. Neat!

Daniela's going to be coached John-Laffnie de Jager, the UAE Royals coach, at the start of next year. She said that she's going to be working on her volleys and net play with him.

The commentators mentioned it at the start of the Wozniacki/Mladenovic match, de Jager talked about it during the match and then Daniela said they'd be working this month and the start of the new season and what they'd be working on during an interview from the Slammers bench at the start of the Rafter - Goran match.

Goran just beasted Rafter 6-1 so all of Daniela's work's been undone. Still, it gets to the mind doubles quicker.

Berdych just beat Djokovic 6-5 after a shootout so Singapore won 23 - 21. Hewitt & Kyrgios beat Zimonjic & Cilic 6-3 in doubles.
It also means that Indian Aces are IPTL Champions.

Pleasure to watch Daniela play like that again. Interesting news about the new coach,I suppose training with Carlos must be off the agenda now.
