I'm giving back my Dumbbell Award. This is 4 of the last 5 tourneys that Dani has withdrawn from doubles. I'm sure there have been good reasons each time. But it would be folly on my part to count on a doubles match anywhere right now, much less Carlsbad. Hope I'm wrong!

I'm sure it was kirilenko who withdrew..there were no long gaps in the scoring of the mixed doubles today that suggested a medical timeout..

You're right eddy-check out her twitter feed. She is an absolute disgrace, and I can't believe she conned Daniela into playing with her. Absolutely fuming. :wall:

Basically kirilenko couldn't be bothered. Hope Daniela beats her twenty time over in their future matches. What a bitch.

Clarfying, I didn't intend to say Dani caused all these withdrawals. Kirilenko being a bitch doez beat the alternative. Nevertheless, when I get a chance I shall gleefully deface her side of that trading card! May Mr. Ovechkin jam a hockey stick up her butt!

I don't get the Kirilenko hate, guys. She was injured, she withdrew. She might be bitter because she has been doing decent at Slams for a while and this was a bad one.

I got really scared when I first heard about the withdrawal. Now having read Jean Raj's report and one on Facebook from another person who was there, big sigh of relief that not only was Daniela not hurt, but that she played quite well, had fun and fought like crazy, like always. Let me get thoughts on this: If we knew a month ago how unfortuitous a fortnight this would be, but that Dani would add a title to her career total, would we have signed up for that? It's a yes from me.

Daniela could have played with a lot of other players but picked Kirilenko. I don't know what's wrong with Kirilenko or what she said to Daniela about this but what Kirilenko posted on twitter was pathetic and says it all about the sort of person she is. Maybe she's taking a medical timeout now because she forgot to take one against Robson.

Probably an Adidas idea-lets get two pretty girls to light up Wimbledon. Unfortunately one of them got all stroppy because things didn't go her way.

Are you freakin' kidding me? It's AO 2006 all over again! Hey, if anyone knows what Lisicki is capable of on grass, it's Daniela and all of us.

Lisicki got confidence from beating Daniela in the mixed doubles. Sabine Lisicki's beaten the Roland Garros champion at Wimbledon four times in a row which is pretty incredible.
