She was the better player though simply by the double faults stats.

Ivanovic is pretty much guaranteed to make the 4th round if Daniela serves like this in two days time..

Seriously, this was a match when Daniela showed all of her fighting spirit and determination to gut out a win. When she fights like this and comes through adversity like this, it shows why I'm a fan and why I admire and respect her so much.

I just hope this isn't a pyrrhic victory and that she didn't do too much damage to her shoulder because for her serve to be this bad and similarly bad in Indian Wells indicates a problem and I really hope that she isn't doing herself long lasting damage.

If she serves like this against Ivanovic, then it's going to be really, really difficult for Daniela but she's through to try.

Who'd have thought that Miami would be a better tournament for Daniela than Indian Wells for three straight years.

Guess I got out of town just in time! Loads of fun trying to follow this at an airport with my cell phone which doesn't work for live scores on the WTA site. Danielathon! It's hard to not believe all of your inputs. Certainly another gutty win, but something's clearly very wrong with the shoulder. Like I saw yesterday, there's not much power behind with rare exceptions. I'll say a prayer for Daniela, and no matter what, yesterday was priceless!
