A good win in the doubles against quality opponents. Daniela & Medina Garrigues came through in the tiebreaks to get the win. They saved set points in the first set before winning it in the tiebreak and then came through in the Supertiebreak doing a great job of protecting their serve and dominated it.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Daniela-bel!:D (Since there was no need to smash the racket 3 times tonight, I did it as a tribute!) 2 straight wins over a Huber-led team. We might just have something here!

Huber was by all accounts as obnoxious as ever during this match, and cussed Daniela out during it. Glad Daniela/AMG were able to have the last laugh.

Wasn't a stream, but an observer at the match recounts what happened: at the change of ends at *8-4 in the TB,Dani goes to serve and Huber goes ballistic, saying that it wasn't her serve and that Daniela was trying to pull a fast one because she has the better serve. Umpire agrees with Huber and AMG steps up to the plate. 3 points later the match is over, and Daniela tries to apologize for the mistake. Liezel yells at her "You're only apologizing because you won" and "At least I don't need to cheat to win matches"(Unbelievable considering her past history  ). As she walked off the court she stopped to give Daniela some more unprintable abuse, before Sanchez pulls her away.

Really unedifying stuff-doubles is supposed to be fun. Huber makes it a war zone.

Didn't know Huber was such a (bleep), but since this nation of mine has proudly produced Connors, McEnroe, boyfriend-basher Capriati and the immortal Jeff Tarango, she might just be carrying on a tradition. Maybe 3 racket smashes (up the side of Huber's head!) actually were needed! Hey, Daniela has a far bigger fish to fry tonight.

Daniela serving first.

1-0, Daniela holds to 30. She's started pretty well and hit some good groundstrokes.
2-0, Daniela breaks to 15. She made two great dropshot volleys at the net from 15 all.
2-1, Azarenka breaks back. Daniela was 40-30 after an ace but Azarenka won the next 3 points.
They're playing Ace of Base during the changeover, it's 1993. Much better then Redfoo.
3-1, Daniela breaks on her 2nd BP with a great volley at the net. She played a great dropshot at 30 all.
4-1, Daniela holds from 0-30 winning the next 4 points. She hit some great winners that game.
4-2, Azarenka holds to 40, Daniela came back from 40-15 but Azarenka won the next 2 points.
4-3, Daniela broken. Saved 2 BPs from 15-40 but gets broken on a DF which went wide & long after hitting the netcord.
4-4, Daniela had a BP at 30-40 but netted during the rally and Azarenka held on her 3rd? GP.
4-5, Daniela broken to 15, served a DF that game.
4-6, Azarenka serves out to 15 winning the set with an ace. Daniela's been making errors the last 2 games.

Azarenka already showing her immaturity, such a spoilt brat, grow up you silly little girl..

List of players who I don't care if they never win a tennis match ever again:

Azarenka
Serena Williams
Sharapova

Tennis can be so frustrating though sometimes..one point away and Daniela would have been 5-2 up instead she's 4-5 down with Azarenka serving for the set...effing annoying...

FFS 4-6

Can Red Foo just F off!

The first set was encouraging but Daniela completely lost the fight in the 2nd set. Azarenka relentless. Daniela deserved that first set rather like QF Sharapova 2008. Daniela's in the twilight of her career. She does look like she's more tired these days. When she was a few years younger it didn't matter how long the match went on she could handle it. Now i'm not so sure..

Azarenka's attitude is awful though and I still stand by that the grunt is unacceptable. It's cheating IMO due to it being so loud and long. Really hope that we see a fresh face lifting the trophy this year.

Kvitova and Azarenka in early rounds of the last two tournaments, not very nice draws..can't see Miami being any different.
