Well, things certainly aren't looking good. Daniela didn't manage to hold her serve in that first set despite landing 71% of first serves. She'll be serving second this set as well. It's hard to tell what's going without a live stream, but it really seems like Daniela's serve isn't doing the job. She managed to beak JJ so she can't be playing terribly.

EDIT: Daniela breaks in the opening game. Some solid service games and she'll be right in this match.

Daniela was saying that her back was sore yesterday, so I think that her back could be affecting her serve.

First hold of the match 2-0.

Even though Id love for her to fight, I really don't want her back to get worse...

I totally agree...i'm sure daniela will know if she's damaging it more...

JJ will be still tough. Cos she has only 27% of 1st in 2nd set so far. Thats why Dani manage to broke her easier.

she saved a bp with another ace, had gp and now back to deuce... this is a rabbit hole

Finally 4-0 :) Break her once more... hope this game didnt tire daniela that much

maybe JJ is more agressive too, so its not easy for her. but I believe she can do it!

Yes! She held serve. 4:0 up in the second.
You'd have to think that was a momentum shifting game. If JJ had broken she'd be right back in the second set but now Daniela has a healthy buffer.
Come on!

EDIT: These are really tight games. 5:0 would go down a treat.
