Caught the second set tiebreak onwards. Daniela was poor at the net and Raymonds serve was poor. Vesnina and Makarova are really pissing me off. Too solid..mixed doubles I guess...

Nice to win the mixed after disappointment in the women's doubles. Raymond lost her mixed too so she had a bad day. Next up Nestor and Mlandenovic. Tough but if they lose to them then at least Daniela can get to Paris a bit earlier and get well prepared for that.

Mixed was too late even for me, but it's cool to awaken to the good news. After 2:20 plus on court for doubles, I wondered what Daniela might have left. But it seemed to me that even at the very end, she was really into it and looked relatively fresh. All that hard physical training and practice......Dani probably exercises more in a day than I have in the 2010's!
Two out of three ain't bad. A win and a loss on court, and her old BFF Aga came through and took down that red-hot Spaniard. That locks Dani in at #31. Perhaps into the top 30 again in Paris.
Glad she gets today off. Rest up, young lady!

As Daniela's not playing today she might be doing commentary for BBC radio today, at least if that tweet from the BBC tennis correspondent about her joining them later in the tournament is still correct.

What can't she do? Wouldn't any of us love to have her career choices when she retires from the sport?

I guess Ms. Ivanovic couldn't handle prosperity. Bouchard came back from a set down and sent her packing. This has been a weird AO on the female side.

FB fans are commenting on how good a job Daniela did as an analyst. It was not on BBC Radio, apparently. Rather, Channel 7 in Melbourne. Perhaps someone will uplink to You Tube. Sports broadcasting, eh, Daniela? Something I have in common with her. :)

Daniela was commentating on the Li Na-Pennetta match on Channel 7 in Australia and she did a great job by all accounts

The most shocking thing about the Bouchard-Ivanovic match was Bouchard saying she wanted to date Justin Beiber :?

I feel like Ana losing today is justice for the AO semi final vs Daniela 2008. She finally got comeuppance for her distracting stupid squeaky shoes. Sorry if this seems harsh but the medical timeout Ana took in the second set today was well dodgy.

So happy for Bouchard, she's a darling and I hope she wins the whole thing.

Not to me, eddy. 10,000% in agreement. (Why must I have the same initials as her? )

Daniela looks so natural as a commentator. Odd that she gets 2 straight off days. I imagine Channel 7 will be happy to give Dani another try.

Congrats to Domi for thrashing Halep, looking good for Fed Cup vs Germany!

The women's semifinal would be the perfect one for Daniela to be the color commentator. Her fellow Slovak and Fed Cup teammate/Olympic doubles partner against her good friend and the last partner she won a doubles title with. Maybe she could have a title of her very own to talk about. Hoping!

Daniela's mixed doubles match is last on Margaret Court after 4 other doubles: two legends, a men's and another mixed.

Another great win by Dominika, she's probably been the best player so far in the women's singles, although it was a very impressive win By Agnieszka Radwanska against Azarenka. None of the semi-finalist's have won here before and only Li Na's won a slam so it'll be nice for someone else to win this.
