First, here are the .

For Fed Cup, we have eight nations playing a best-of-three tie; two singles matches and a doubles match using at least three different players. Ranking points will be distributed as follows:
Loss > 1 vote: 2 pts.
One vote loss: 8 pts.
Win over player ranked 25 and up: 15 pts.
Win over player ranked between 17-24: 20 pts.
Win over player ranked between 9-16: 25 pts.
Win over player ranked 5-8: 30 pts.
Win over top 4 player: 35 pts.

Here are the eight teams in order of their rank:

England: (8) Adele Summers, (9) Gina Haswell, (44) Jeanine Kerby
Denmark: (3) Maria Sønderborg, (5) Victoria Sønderborg, (61) Louise Andersen
USA: (17) Leighton Claire, (19) Kate Morgan, (25) Alexandra Pattinson
Russia: (16) Viktoriya Zalaytseva, (20) Helina Mironova, (30) Ivana Ripherhedritova Australia: (6) Holly O'Malley, (21) Lisa Medal, (62) Sheila Bruce
Portugal: (12) Carolina Fontes, (23) Rita Ferreira, (58) Joana Castro
Uganda: (37) Georgina Agdgdgwngo, (62) Precious Obutu, (63) Cousin Benson

Here is the draw with a team from the top four randomly drawn against a team from the bottom four. The host was then chosen at random.
