Well well well, this was the response I think all British tennis fans would of been hoping for from Robson after she shot into the limelight after winning the Junior Wimbledon title and now in her next appearance in a junior grand slam she beats the top seed comfortably and gets into the final here. Robson certainly is a talent to look out for in the future on the WTA tour is she can continue her progress

Robson will be the junior world number 1 if she wins the final.

I was wondering what this would do to her ranking. Its been a great effort from Laura who's had quite a tough draw in truth. Rankings would suggest that Pervak will be favourite for this one, but after a great straight sets win against Lertcheewakarn, who was mauling everyone in the lead up to the semi final, I wouldnt be surprised if Robbo was the favourite for this one

Poor end to such a great run but considering that Pervak is ranked on the WTA tour inside the top 200 and played all of last year on the ITF senior tour you can understand why a weary Robson wasnt able to win this one. Getting to the final though is another showing of the talent she has and it will be interesting now to see what she can do on the clay come the next grand slam junior event.

A good week for the girl's rankings. Melanie South has cracked the top-100 and is closely followed by Elena Balacha (who is just 8 places off the top-100). Georgie stoop is back in the top-200 and has set a career-high ranking this week (along with South and Baltacha), and Keothavong is just one place off the career-high ranking she set two weeks ago.
With Robson's progress up the junior rankings, things are looking up for women's tennis in the UK.

Another career high ranking for Georgie Stoop this week, and also for Anne Keothavong, who is just 2 places from the world's top-50. A good performance in Memphis next week would most likely push her into the top-50 for the first time.

A tough loss for Katie today, losing in three sets to Eleni Daniilidou, after taking the first set 6-1 and the second to a tie-break.
Eleni goes through to the final with a 1-6 7-6[4] 6-2 win, where she will face Lucie Hradecka (the number five seed).
