Another great win by Holland, but France (and Italy) had a lot of chances against them and it'll be interesting to see how they react to going behind as so many of their goals have been scored on fast counterattacks when the other team was attacking. Romania were successful against Holland in the qualifying group by playing with a massed defence, neutralising Holland's speed and denying them space to run into. Holland have topped the group regardless of what happens in the last round of matches, so they might rest players and if Romania win then both the World Cup finalists are out. Apparently Ivica Vastic won a lifetime's supply of beer after scoring that penalty for Austria. Pretty much every game's been entertaining with a lot of skillful, attacking football and so far it's been a great tournament. |

very very nice football from holland.also france played very well after the 30 min, lost many chances deserved more goals than the one. as chungwit said yes is possible the world finalists to be out. oto rehagel(greece coach) has recieved very rough critique from greeks the way they played.also the players were dissapointed with coach for this style of playing. his tactique was fine for the last euro, but not now i dont except the 70yo german to change brains, quite difficult. |

Apparently Ivica Vastic won a lifetime's supply of beer after scoring that penalty for Austria. Yep, thats right! I wonder if Vastic was thinking about that when he stepped up against Poland. The offer as far as Im aware is any Austrian player that scores in the finals gets a life time supply of beer from a local brewery. Thats quite an incentive lol Scott |

Gluck Czech team, you have all the quality to beat Turkey, they dont deserve the quarterfinals Im really looking forward to tomorrows match Martin. Im sure its going to be a nervy time for you, but personally I would like to see this tie go to penalties cause its not likely to happen again in the near future and it would be fascinating to see Scott |

Gluck Czech team, you have all the quality to beat Turkey, they dont deserve the quarterfinals If they will beat us they deserve it. Scott, I am quite sure this will end on penalties, with the Turks going through. Danielitsa, how the Greek fans see the current situation? Any chance Rehhagel stays with the team? I read the performances of your national team cause quite a havoc in Greece, but nothing too specific. |
