I hate having to watch the scoreboard, but sat here at my desk I said 'this is classic Daniela collapse time' at 4-2* and four games later she loses the first set. I can't be too critical because she's in the semi finals of a clay event which is a rare event in itself. Doesn't make it less annoying...

Straight sets against Petrova, very impressive. Maria Kirilenko or Andrea Petkovic lay in wait in the Semi Finals. Scott

Great result for Daniela against Vika, especially so considering that it was from a set down. So, so far this season Daniela has lost in the 1st round of every tournament she has participated in, bar one...which she won. On that basis, should I put some money on Daniela winning Doha? ...All j...

The roller-coaster ride known as Daniela Hantuchova doesn't fail to disappoint, does it? After a winless start to the year I thought this tournament was going give Daniela's 2011 season a kick start, but I didn't envision this. Congratulations Daniela on title number four, and to win it without dro...

A fully fit a firing Daniela should blow away her first round opponent, but is Daniela at 100%? We'll find out come Monday. The draw is quite reasonable, I don't quite know about whether Daniela can beat Azarenka but at this moment in time but, as always, we need to take every match as it comes and...

Would have been nice if she'd closed the match out on her own serve but a straight sets win and 1 & 2 is about as straight forward as it gets. She didnt really look tested and onto the next round she goes were Suarez Navarro (not Sanchez Vicario which the British Eurosport commentator said befo...

has a nothing to lose match against Dementieva who she has a pretty decent record against. Good to see how much I think of Daniela when a 4-11 h2h is considered "pretty decent." But as I'm not doing anything here's what I used to do... Scott -----------------------------------------------...

After seeing a three set scoreline and knowing how Daniela loves to put us on the edge of our seats at times in matches I get the feeling that I should be glad I was at the football rather than watching this one. She got the result though and now has a nothing to lose match against Dementieva who s...

Saw that last night on Sky Sports News and it looked really bad. It's been confirmed that she was suffering from a mild concussion after falling in the gym before the match with Dulko but that she has now been released from hospital is a resting at her hotel. Hope she get's well soon. Scott

Very impressed with Daniela on Monday. I caught the back end of set two and was very pleased with what I saw. There were the usual wobbles and near breaks but she done what was needed, made even more impressive considering that she lost to Safina last time out. I won't be able to catch any of tonig...
