I generally prefer fan sites to official sites as fan sites are motivated by enthusiasm and passion while official sites are about building the brand. Plus, fan sites have an irreverence that official sites just can't match.

Another good win by Dominika who extends Dementieva's losing streak in Canada to four matches. Dominka's got a good chance to go on a very nice run in Montreal. Mont Royal's great for jogging.

Why would someone send a pm saying they didn't understand a post when they could just say so in the thread?

Andy Roddick hurt himself in bed. I'd like to comment further but I don't want him going Max Mosley on me.

I have an open question and one I never hear asked: why does anyone care about the Olympics? To me, it's a bunch of athletes I haven't heard of playing sports I don't care about. Since when does anyone care about swimming, archery, diving, badminton, canoeing, fencing or shooting. How about the fie...

It was a match that Federer should have won in straight sets as he was twice up a break in the first but dropped serve the next game and played appallingly in the tiebreak, while he couldn't convert the BPs he had in the second, well not till the last one and won the tiebreak and breezed through the...

It was a very erratic performance by Nicole as one point she'd hit a great winner and boss the rally, the next point she'd make a bad UE on what should be an easy shot. Her goundstrokes were okay -there were errors but also winners - but she missed a lot of volleys and overheads which showed her lac...

The new design's pretty decent although I'll keep posting here, most of the people here are sane and likeable and the last official forum was full of mentalists and weirdoes. Although the new forum has moderators and an ignore button, plus most of the same people from here have registered so you nev...

The ATP rankings are based on the previous 52 weeks so last year's points from Montreal are still being counted with this year's Toronto points, it said someplace. I think it's almost inevitable that Nadal will get to number one as Federer has so many more points to defend for the rest of the year. ...

I don't want be a nitpicker here, but do we really need all these threads on players most of us aren't even fans of? Then I click to see new messages and there are plenty of threads and posts I am not even remotely interested in (like this one for example) and it can be rather difficult to orientat...

Daniela's won the Fed Cup and the Hopman Cup. Might as well go for the complete set in international tennis.

Disappointing result and there's not too much to add. Daniela's missed almost six months to illness and injury and it will take her a bit of time to get her rythym and match sharpness back, especially players who have been playing regularly. Daniela has got far too much talent and strength of charac...
