The little onion that could toppled Dementieva 6-4, 6-2! She benefited from eight double faults, but must have done an awful lot of things well. She now has two top-tier wins this year, Venus and now Elena. Plus, she has also taken Masha, Sveta and Elena to three sets. A bit of mixed emotions for me...

My loyalties will remain to this forum and the Cocktail Party, in that order. I will keep posting news as I find it and my thoughts on Daniela's play, schedule, etc. here. Truthfully, with Christina, Dragon and co. doing such a fine job, the official forum strikes me as redundant.

Baseball is my favorite sport, but the major leagues do not stop for the Olympics, so that event means nothing because none of the best players are there. well im not sure if you knew this, but the olympics was actaually for amature athletes. if you were a professional athlete you could not compete...

In addition to Daniela, Jankovic - Of course, she's always good for a laugh or two and there's something to be said for a player who really seems to enjoy earning millions for hitting a yellow ball (as someone else said). Tobi at Tennis Forum has said that Daniela has been removed from the tournament web site's entry list, but that she still appears on the internal one which he is familiar with. I guess we'll find out which is right soon enough.
