Thanks mhs139. It's good to hear from those who witnesseetie match. It seems that parmentier played very well adding with bad line calls. A lot of daniela's bad losses come when she's on small courts so maybe that is a factor. Eg. Martinez sanchez petkovic last year.. She should have been on the ne... |

Hi, I'm Pat, I'm usually a lurker, but I was actually at the match today (which alone made the result inevitable), and this is what I saw: First, Parmentier was on. Her serve worked, she got to a ton of balls, and she didn't miss. Right off the bat, Daniela hit two great winners in the first game, ... |

Daniela's back must be killing her from carrying Aga through that match. On to Stanford and a great US hardcourt season. She's got virtually nothing to defend so I'm expecting big things. |

Dani's stats are very nice today. 31 Winners 19 UE's. Much much better than Vika. If it wasn't for the damn sholder. Vika is playing the big points pretty well and now the rain. |

Petrova beat Pavlychenkova today, that part of the draw has really opened up (both seeds are out). Hope for a good showing against Vika tomorrow! |

Even if she doesn't get past Azarenka but I think she may have a shot, at least she gets some ranking points for getting to round 3. Vika can be off and get frustrated easily and I think Dani should exploit this. Then again Dani can also get frustrated easily. Doubles scheduled on court 19 tomorrow.... |

Breaks to love to go up 4-1 in the second. Keep your foot on the gas Dani. Nice stats so far 20 W vs. 6 UE. |

Is it me or is the scheduling this year a complete joke? I can't imagine many of the players are happy about it. Seems to be much much worse than other years imo. Its time for them to realize the different issues this tournament faces with rain and lack of light and start play earlier on outer courts! |

I agree that TBA is a compliment. Last year in the first round Daniela was TBA and was eventually placed on court no. 1. I also feel the organizers are being kind to Daniela and keeping her injury in mind. Intentionally giving her time to rest based on her FO and current grass performance. I believe... |

Clearly the injury is worse than what it seems or Daniela is just having an off day. I can't see it being an off day though with the way she's been playing recently, her stats are just awful. Very disappointing. |

This is just amazing. What a performance of fight, heart, desire and skill to beat the Roland Garros champion. Daniela just refused to lose that first set and saved all these set points then she came from 1-3 down in the second to win it 6-3. What a woman, incredible stuff. Daniela's now beaten 4 o... |

I agree I wouldn't be upset if she retired from the match. More important to get fit for Wimbledon, much more points up for grabs even if she makes it to rd 3 or 4! |
