Not a good start Hingis broken to 15...1-2 down, Hingis not playing very well missing quite a few regular shots.

30-30 bad return error and bad volley error from Daniela..they are not gelling well.

Vinci is the best on court by far.

Great hold from Daniela. 2-3 get the break now PLEASE

Good hold from Hingis, 3-4 this first set is so important

Daniela's returning is atrocious  has to sort that out

3-6 Daniela and Martina are just too passive and are not acting like winners out there, they need to be more positive on court and above all get returns in play. This is too easy for Errani and Vinci at the moment..

Daniela and Hingis are barely looking at each other when they chat between points, I think they both know the partnership will end after this tournament if they go out early...and that's why I was so annoyed with the doubles draw as I know if they had gotten an easier first rounder the confidence would be much higher.

2nd Set

Had 2 bps but Vinci/Errani had all the answers.
0-2 Hingis misses a piss easy volley
Gamesmanship from Errani whose been squealing every shot to stop suddenly on break point YES get the break back 1-2 but Hingis serving next..
2-2 Hingis has woken up, and great put away from Daniela, much better energy, they can do this..
2-3 2 awful returns from Daniela, momentum swinging back to the Italians..

Was a break up but Hingis couldn't serve for toffee
Was 0-30 but Errani/Vinci won the next 4 points
Daniela serving to stay in the tournament, doesn't bode well...
5-5
5-6
5-7 Hingis unfortunately broken and losses it on double fault, a tiebreak would have been interesting and is what it deserved but wasn't meant to be..

Daniela and Martina put up and really valiant fight but Errani and Vinci had to play their best to beat them. The 2nd set could have gone either way and especially when they broke only to go 4-3 up..Hingis's serve just isn't up to it..and Daniela's returns were abysmal at times today.

However, I think that the match was of very high quality.

2-3, Vinci holds to 30.
3-3, Daniela holds to 40.
4-3, Errani broken to 30.
4-4, Martina broken to 15.
4-5, Vinci to 30 after Daniela & Martina were 0-30 up.
5-5, Daniela holds to 15 with some strong serving.

A really good summary of the match, eddy. Martina's great in rallies but her serve is weak while Daniela's returns weren't great but they were still competitive against one of the top teams. With a better draw and the chance to build some momentum through the tournament they could have had a good run but they always seem to get a top team early on. I really think that Errani would have cracked up if the match had gone to 3 sets because she was tettering when serving at 5-5.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Not too disappointed-I do believe that Martina's comeback has been ill-judged,and Daniela can do without the pressure of trying to prop her up. Real chance of a deep singles run here-hope she's on top form tomorrow!

If anyone saw what I so inaccurately wrote earlier then deleted, my apologies to you and to Dani for messing up whose service it was. When I finally found out what really happened, it turned out that Daniela was a rock on serve when it counted most. This hurts so bad. Daniela was becoming more popular than ever through this pairing and truly seemed to be enjoying the experience. If this is the end, I can cherish being there for the beginning and all the joy and hopes prevalent that night. Oh well, back to singles and let's see how far our gal can go.
By the way, I predicted victory quite boldly. And I have absolutely no regrets at all!

Let's Go, Daniela!

Riske just beat Kvitova so she'd be the next opponent as long as Daniela gets past Glushko.

3rd round:

0-1, Daniela broken on the 2nd BP.
0-2, Glushko holds to 30.
1-2, Daniela holds to 30.
2-2, Daniela breaks back after saving a GP.
2-3, Daniela broken to 30, saved a BP.
2-4, Glushko holds to 0. Who knew that Glushko was so popular?
3-4, Daniela holds on her 2nd GP after one deuce.
3-5, Glushko holds to 15. Glushko's dictating a lot of the rallies while Daniela is making so many errors.
3-6, Daniela broken to 30 on Glushko's 2nd SP. Daniela is so flat at the moment and her forehand is totally misfiring.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Daniela piss poor at the moment, i'm afraid as predicted..2-4 Glushko has too much power, where has this come from...? :(

A much needed hold 3-4 now break PLEASE

3-5 Daniela's forehand is awful today...16 forehand errors in the first set.

That was probably the worst set of tennis from Daniela that has been televised all year.

3-6

Daniela has to put that behind her and start well in the 2nd set. Glushko's playing sensible tennis, hardly any errors and playing strong to Daniela's forehand..

Daniela can turn this around but a good start in this 2nd set is paramount.

Daniela was 40-0 up on her serve but then played shocking and gifted back the break 1-1..despair

1-0, Daniela breaks Glushko to 30 with a great passing shot.
1-1, Daniela broken after being 40-0 and after another GP. She's making so many errors.
1-2, Glushko wins the game to 30 with an ace, her first winner this set. Daniela's made 10 errors already. I think Daniela should take a toilet break just to get herself refocused and break Glushko's concentration.
The trainer's come out and is working on Daniela's right arm or shoulder. An injury would explain a lot because she's been way below her best today. Daniela's getting treatment on her shoulder, trainer's giving it a massage and trying to stretch it.
1-3, Daniela broken to 15. She's just making errors, she's obviously way below 100% fit.
1-4, Glushko holds to 15. Hit a couple of nice winners but Daniela is nowhere near her best.
2-4, Daniela saves a BP to hold. She's going to need one of her greatest ever comebacks to win this but she's a great fighter.
2-5, Glushko holds to 0.
3-5, Daniela holds to 30 from 0-30.
4-5, Daniela breaks to 30.
5-5, Daniela holds to 15.
6-5, Daniela break on her 3rd GP.
7-5, Daniela serves out to 15.

3rd set:
1-0, Daniela breaks to 15.
2-0, Daniela holds on her 3rd GP.
3-0, Daniela breaks to 15.
3-1, Daniela broken to 0.
3-2, Glushko holds to 30, She's playing her best for a while.
3-3, Daniela broken to 30, she's gone of the boil while Glushko is playing well again.
4-3, Daniela breaks to 0 with a Glushko DF.
4-4, Daniela broken to 30.
4-5, Glushko holds from 15-30.
5-5, Daniela saves 4 MPs.
6-5, Glushko holds to 30.
6-6, Daniela holds to 15.

*= Daniela serving.
1-0
1-1*
1-2*
2-2
3-2
4-2*
5-2* ace
6-2
6-3
