Great to see that she got one of the 17-24 seedings, thanks to her solid results in the past weeks. Well that means she will draw someone seeded 9-16 in the 3R:

I really hope she draws Radwanska, Petrova or Cibulkova. The advantage of drawing someone between #9-#12 would be that she would avoid playing a Top 4 Player in the last 16. Anyway, I hope for a good draw, she could really gain some points with a good draw, I just hope she gets a decent first round and won't show up in a same way she did the past few years.

Between 2002 & 2005, Daniela won more matches at the US Open than at any other slam and it's about time that Daniela has another run there.

Being seeded 23rd is fine, and hopefully Daniela avoids any dangerous floaters and gets a decent draw. Most of the potential 3rd round opponents are pretty decent matchups for her and are a lot better than the top 8, although Daniela's got to get to the third round first.
The most important thing is that Daniela turns up ready and prepared.

Shazza's ranked 30 after her run in Canada so that removes a very dangerous floater from Daniela's path.

Well not a bad draw at all really, Shaughnessy will be tough as will be a bit of an unknown quantity, but has been out of the game for a few years until recently. Should Daniela win that ominous 1st round, I fancy her chances against Bacinsky/Q. Beating Stosur will be very tough, but there's a chance she might not get there...and then Serena 4R again... Anything after 3rd round will be fantastic! And would put Daniela back in top 20.
