It's really annoying me why Daniela isn't entering at 50K events in USA these 3 weeks. She was playing well on the grass despite the early losses and it's not like she's been playing loads of matches. I don't see why she doesn't take advantage of weak draws and try and play every week...

Who knows when and where she's next playing...

I wish she would have done that myself, eddy. Not for tennis reasons as much. With America running away with the title of Gun Murder Capital Of The World, we could use Daniela to improve this country as long as possible to improve the USA simply by being in it.

Not sure Daniela could help our gun mania, but she certainly graces every place she goes. Would love to see her back in the US soon.

Daniela's not down on any entry lists on the IFT circuit at the moment...so who knows when she'll next play...

This was always my favorite time of the year, with Daniela spending six weeks or so here in the USA. Even if the results were bad, it was a good feeling knowing she was in my country. It feels like withdrawal symptoms. :(

From the series of pictures she is putting up on her social media, wherever she is, Dani's clearly enjoying herself. I can't possibly begrudge her that.

I don't think Daniela will play again until the US Open. Her rankings nowhere near high enough to get into the North American tournaments and she really hasn't shown much inclination to play ITFs.

She mentioned in an interview from last month that she had some spare wildcards as a past Indian Wells winner and was hoping to use them during the indoor season so I imagine she'll probably try to get into Linz and Luxembourg as she's got a good relationship with these tournaments. Next year I think Daniela will try to play the Australian Open and Indian Wells as these are special tournaments for her but I don't know where else she'd play. I wouldn't be surprised if Indian Wells 2017 was her last tournament as it's the scene of her greatest triumphs and she loves the tournament so much.
Of course, she could keep going for a bit longer in doubles especially if she could get a decent partner but she's hardly bothered with doubles recently and hasn't won a doubles match since she played with Stosur last year. That's all speculation on my part but Daniela's career is winding down.

It's really good that Daniela's in the main draw of an International event. If she can go on a run there it would be such a boost for her ranking, plus she's playing and that's always great.

Daniela was at the opening of the new player facilities at New Haven today so that should mean she's playing there although she's not listed as a player and qualifying cutoff is 86. I don't see why she'd be there if she wasn't playing though so she'll probably get a wildcard.

Update:
Tennis stars arriving for next week's Connecticut Open will be greeted with a newly renovated $1.5 million players' center, funded by the state over the objections of lawmakers who view the spending as misplaced in tough economic times.

Daniela Hantuchova, a former Top 5 player from Slovakia, became the first to use the facility on Tuesday as she prepared for qualifying matches this week.
"Obviously you want to go to tournaments where you feel comfortable and you have everything you need," she said.

Daniela's not in the qualifying draw for the US Open so unless she's getting a main draw wildcard then she's going to miss it for the first time since 2000. She could still play doubles but her ranking for that is awfully low.

No wildcard for singles. We'll see what happens for doubles. It feels sad that Daniela's missing from singles.

Daniela's not in the US Open doubles draw either so her last chance to play will be in the mixed.

From what I can gather, Daniela is in New York these days. I have to figure that it's for some lucrative appearance or something like that, not to play. She hasn't done mixed in several years, so if she is playing mixed this year I would be shocked. Pleasantly, of course.
