Thanks lunaris, that looks pretty definiative and it looks even more so unlikely that Daniela will not be fit for the french open, I hate the clay court season anyway but this just sucks

Thanks for the interview Martin. This must be absolutely terrible for Daniela, especially as she was in such great form then she gets sick and then injured. I can only hope that she's able to recover soon and that she makes a complete recovery. It looks fairly certain that she'll miss Roland Garros and I don't see her being able to play before Rosmalen, and it wouldn't surprise me if she had to miss Wimbledon. I really miss Daniela playing but I only want her to comeback when she's recovered and while she'll miss big tournaments, there's always next year and the years to come and she has to think longterm about this. The next five years are far more important than the next five weeks

I wish this season could be rewound to 2-0 in the second set of the Australian Open semi-final; with a better umpire, of course.

this sums it up and is exactly what i think of her injury.

after Henins retirement i already was afraid, Daniela could do this as well, but after i read the interview I lost this fear. Good to see that she misses to be on court :)

it's hard, so many tournaments without Daniela, and even tough i hope she will be back soon, i hope she doesn't comeback before everthing is 100 % ok , even if this means she will miss Roland Garros :(

oh this keeps getting worse for daniela!!
i almost hope now she does miss RG, just so she can heal 100%! i dont want this injury to come back later on.

I go seven days to RG. And I will be so disappointed if she doesn't play. :cry: But her health is the most important.

I just hope she gets ready for Wimbledon. Grass is Daniela's favourite surface and hopefully she is 100% until then.

I personally hope that she is fit for wimbledon cause I want to go see her there again like I did last year. But thats just me being selfish lol If she isnt 100% then I hope she does the sensible thing and take as much time off as is needed, whether that means missing tournaments like Roland Garros and Wimbledon or not

If you want to feel even worse about the injury, check out the main draw for Istanbul. Daniela would have had an embarrassingly easy road to the final, just some more salt to rub in the wounds.

Nothing is ever easy in tennis, especially when Daniela is involved but I do agree the draw she would of recieved would of given her a very good chance of a final appearance. Nevermind, just have to take things week by week, and now we just have to sit and wait to see if Daniela will play Roland Garros

You're right, what I meant to say was embarrassingly easy in comparison to what one would normally see in a tier three.

i feel personally that if she misses RG its not the most disappointing thing that could happen. It would be a lot more disappointing if she plays in it and shes not 100% therefore putting herself at risk of further injury.
Hopefully she'll only resume playing when she is 100% and totally over the injury, even if this is sometime after RG.
