Awesome, straight in with a tough tournament, a good run pretty much guarantees a seeding in AO. Was worried that this year she might have chosen to mess about at the Hopman cup or go to Shezhan or Auckland.

Excited for 2014 already and it's still only November #offseasonblues

So that's 40 days and 40 nights away. Gosh, every year these two months without Daniela to root for/drive us insane/fill us with joy seem longer and longer. On the heels of her US Open performance, count me in as one believing Dani can do something similar at the AO. Meantime, I'm feeling proud as more and more comes out about her charitable nature.

Let's Go, Daniela!

Hope you're right Alex. Success breeds success,as they say,and the better results she gets, the more her charities will feel the benefit. My main wish is for her to win a clay title this year to complete the set, especially if it's Rome.

Daniela's playing Sydney. She's the last direct entrant.

Daniela got her ranking just high enough to have this happen. Every once in awhile, guys, it actually does break her way (and ours)!

Let's Go, Daniela!

Here's an interesting decision. Daniela is officially entered into the Paris GDF tournament, immediately following the Australian Open.

Well Benji, I guess Dani will just have to withdraw after she wins in Melbourne :!:

I didn't put two and two together on this until tonight. Trolling the upcoming schedule, I finally took notice that Paris GDF is the same week as Pattaya. Bravo, Bellisimo, Daniela! After the gross mistreatment she was given there last year as 2 time defending champ, we all hoped that she'd tell Pattaya to jam it where the sun don't shine. And she did! Loving every minute of it!

Let's Go, Daniela!

The Sony Open in Miami has released the fields, and joyfully, Daniela is on the list. Lot of pleasant memories for me of Miami being the place I finally got to see her play in person for the first time. :)

Let's Go, Daniela!

What the hell does this mean if she's playing world team tennis? Comes across as if she is transitioning into professional retirement to me....I hope I'm wrong but it seems like an awful lot of effort for no reason...

When is the Team Tennis Season anyway? Do other single pros play also?

I think Daniela's just playing this for fun (and whatever the appearance fee might be) plus she can be based and preparing in America before the US Open series.

Azarenka's playing for Philadelphia, Venus Williams is playing for Washington, Sam Querrey playing for Las Vegas and the Bryan brothers are playing with Daniela for San Diego. Eugenie Bouchard played last year.

I think Daniela will keep going until the 2016 Olympics.

WTT FORMAT

Each team is comprised of two men, two women and a coach. Team matches consist of five sets, with one set each of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.

The first team to reach five games wins each set. One point is awarded for each game won, and a nine-point tiebreaker is played if a set reaches four all. If necessary, Overtime and a “Supertiebreaker” are played to determine the outright winner of the match. For a complete listing of WTT rules and a glossary of terms, Click Here.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.
