Post subject:  Back to the roots?

Hey,

this website has mainly been a forum about Danka, that's why I didn't want to turn it into a webpage like christina's.
But somehow I felt that something was missing, and finally decided to put up the portal. The positive effect is that you have a quick overview on Daniela's latest tournaments. Much better than the "Latest Resuts" box.
Matt knew why he used the portal. ^^

I also added Daniela's profile, and her rankings will be displayed there soon as well.

Maybe some more useful (Daniela-related) features might be added to the portal, but not much.
Anyway I haven't used most of the possible features (like clock, advanced statistics, latest posts, wordgraph, latest atachments, new members, calender...) because we don't realy need it ;)

Any suggestions concerning (useful) features related to Daniela that should be displayed on the mainpage?

I think it looks great and you did a great job filtering what to put on the main page and what not to put there. It can easily become to clustered with information. Nice work :)

I just logged in, went to the forum and saw that pretty much all forums had new posts, I clicked "view new posts" and got " no suitable matches"

Have had real problems accessing the site since the change. Hopefully it's just my rubbish computer!

well, that's funny ^^
but this error has nothing to do with the portal, the link for searching new posts is the same which you can find on the forum index.
Or it was just temporary?

oh, not good.
In what way do you have problems with acessing the website? What is displayed in your browser? Maybe you should make a screenshot.

Upgraded my browser and can access much better now. The 'quote' function still isn't working however.

I just heard you weren't the only one with this kind of problems.. Glad it's working for you now.

ok, I'd like to introduce chungwit as a moderator of the english forum and the media section.
He will also help keeping Daniela's profile and her Rankings up to date (to be honest this was the main reason why I asked him; moderating this forum is a very easy job at the moment, because you are all great people ;) )
