Impressive, looked like it could of been a difficult outing for Murray but 2 and 2 against a good player like Monfils is very impressive, bring on Federer (assuming of course)

Murray is through to his second straight Masters Series final, defeating Federer in the semi-finals 3-6 6-3 7-5. A great performance to beat the former world number 1 for the third time.
Nadal, most likely, up next in the final. No disrespect to Simon but I can't see him taking out Nadal in Madrid. He has had a good couple of runs in the Masters Series now though (semi-finalist in Canada and most likely a semi-final showing here in Madrid). Will certainly boost his ranking further.
Murray beat Nadal at the US Open in their last meeting so will have some confidence going into the encounter, but this time they will be playing indoors, in front of a Spanish crowd. The Brit will surely be pumped for this one!

Couldn't have been more wrong. Simon edges Nadal in a final set tie-break to book his place in the final. It's got to be a while since there has been a Masters Series final without Nadal, Federer or Djokovic.
Should be a good match between Murray and Simon. I am confident Murray can take this title. Quite often when a player has had a big win in the latter stages of a tournament they play badly in their next match. Hopefully Murray can come out on top in this one and take his second straight Masters Series Title and fourth title of the year overall.

A good start from Murray, leads by a break in the opening set, *3-2.
Hopefully this is going to be a straight sets win for Murray after Simon's 3hr 22min tustle with Nadal yesterday.

Two finals, two titles for Murray in Masters Series events and that just has to put a great cap on what has certainly been his breakthrough year. He has been on the tour for a while and but this is the first year where he has shown what we in Britain have known for a while and shown his potential of being a world beater. This has to give him great hope going into the season ending championships in a few weeks and he can go to the Paris masters have a good time, keep his momentum up and running and take the field in Shanghai head on.
