At 30-30 and 6-5 in the 2nd set (i think that was the point) after a long, cruelling rally, with both Murray and Djokovic running from side to side, changing pace and direction in an instant, Murray produced a rocket of a back hand, cross court, behind Djokovic and Mark Petchy's reaction (the sky sports commentator) summed it up and even had me clapping from the sofa to myself

lol, me too. A great point from Murray!
Petchy is a good commentator of Murray matches. Not so keen on Peter Fleming in the studio though.

Yea, i think its better to keep Fleming in the studio cause i normally turn over once the match is over anyway, dont bother with the post match analysis.

Tough draw for Murray simply cause look whos in his Quarter, going to be tough to have make it too the last 4 to have a chance of a medal but after claiming his first masters title anything is possible

Doesnt get much easier in doubles with the worlds number 1 doubles player half of the canadian team and should Murray and Murray get through they will be gaurenteed to face one of two established doubles pairings

Yen-Hsun Lu d. Andy Murray[6] 7-6[4] 6-4

A very dissapointing result for Murray. He didn't cope with the conditions at all well and looked tired throughout most of the match. Lu, who spends most of his time on the ITF circuit, played the match of his life (typical!), and outplayed Murray in the majority of the ralleys. Andy was too defensive and looked like an average player. He squandered three set points in the first set and didn't produce any of the top form that saw him take the Cincinnati title just over a week ago.
He's in the doubles a little later on with brother Jamie and I can't see them getting a win. At least if he loses he can get back to the US and prepare for the US Open. It almost feels like a waste of time Andy even going out to Beijing. Roddick had the right idea focussing on the ATP tour, building points from the US Open series (e.g. a finalist in Los Angeles and playing Washington this week). I think Murray could have achieved similar results had he stayed in the US and effectively prepared for the final grand slam of the year.

I think the Olympics are a unique experience. I understand that he wanted to go to Beijing.

Fan de Daniela en toutes circonstances.

Unfortunatly I havent been able to watch a lot of the olympics considering the time difference and all that but i was certainly surprised when i woke up the other day to see this result in a match that even a 50% commited Andy I expected to win, but nevermind they still won in the doubles 1st round against a very formidable team of Nestor and Niemeyer
