A little bit harsh on David there,Nadal came up with some brilliant tennis to stave off the MPs.

I don't think he's fully recovered from the debilitating fever,he was constantly coughing during the match, therefore he had to finish the match in 2 sets,otherwise.....well you saw what happened!

Kudos to Rafa for being so mentally tough.

I didn't get to see Nalbandian's match! I wanted him to win against Nadal.

Nalby starts his European clay-court season by beating PHM 6-4 3-6 6-3 with a typical Nalby performance-when he was good,he was very, very good and when he was bad,he was the racket-throwing,bad-tempered,swearing idiot I so enjoy watching.

Some of his FH and BH returns were absolutely sick BTW. I've never seen a guy who could return serve better.

Hey , I'm currently at Estoril and earlier today Nalbandian lost to Capdeville 62 62 :O It was a lousy game to watch .. The match wasn't very good , both players hit a low % of 1st serves , lots of errors and Nalbandian showed signs of the injury that he's carring .

I just read that Nalbandian will have a surgical operation at his hip tomorrow.
Estimated time of recovery is 4 months.

Argentina is doomed in the Davis Cup now.David is my favourite guy on the ATP, but I don't mind him not playing Davis Cup for obvious reasons. Surgery is always a bad thing though. Can only wish him a speedy recovery.

He is trying to avoid it, by the end of the week
he will take his decision.

what do you mean?Nalby is my favourite ATP player, alongside Nadal. Del Potro,to put it mildly, isn't. Therefore I look forward to Stepanek defeating JMDP very comfortably on the fast indoor surface where he excels.

JMDP impressed the hell out of me at the French. He's off my 'disliked' list for now-he stood up to Federer in a way I didn't believe was possible having seen the AO disaster.

If following Daniela is harmful to your health, then following Nalby is positively lethal!

David beats Gimeno-Traver 6-7 6-4 7-6(7). There is little I can do to describe the rampant headcasery and choking that went on in this match. Suffice it to say that David made a complete hash of serving out each set.
