Tsonga won 6-3 4-6 6-4.
So he will get the 8th ticket to Shanghai?

That was a tremendous tournament by Tsonga to win it and get the last berth in Shanghai. He deserves to go as he'd have earned his place before this if he hadn't been injured and missed Roland Garros and Wimbledon, plus he showed incredible skill and nerve to get some great wins here, although Roddick must still be wondering how he lost that quarter-final.

I think it helped the Paris Masters that so many of the players in the later stages were playing to get into the Masters Cup so it gave it that little extra excitement as quite a few of the players are looking to get the year over or are saving themselves for Shanghai, but Tsonga and Nalbandian both played top tennis all week.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from the masters cup. He wants to recover to be totally fit for the davis cup final against Argentina. So Simon will be the 8th player to take part at the masters cup.
