Also the draw for men at US Open is out. Good draws for Nadal and Federer I think.
Quite tough quarter for Djokovic.

i agree.second quarter is the most open.not clear favourite(murray,ferrer,wawrinka,simon,del potro,youzni)

I think its very clear if you ask me, Murray all the way lol :P

Scott

 ,all the way del potro scott
the better player to advance

If you want the better player to be in the semi's then that would be Murray. ;)

Here's hoping for a Murray vs Del Potro quarter final to decide this arguement lol

I hope Murray crushes Del Potro, especially after Del Potro's bad words regarding Judy Murray during the Rome Masters.

"Whether I like Del Potro or not doesn't make any difference. I have known him since we were really young. I wasn't great friends with him before."

Andy Murray spices things up ahead of his quarter-final against Juan Martin del Potro.

This tournament is wide open imo. Fed still struggling, Djokovic slightly injured, this surface is Nadal's worst one. Murray has as much chance as everyone. I wouldn't be surprised if he won it all. He showed he knows how to play on harcourts in recent weeks. Question is whether he is mentally ready for the big one.

For me the big surprise with the Murray 4th round match was that he was able to go from start to finish without any lapse in concentration. Murray in his matches against Llodra and especially so against Melzer this week had that usual lapse of concentration and he got through it, if Murray can produce a similar focused performance as he did against Wawrinka he should definately be considered as a possible winner of this event.

Its nice to see that a tournament such as this finally is wide open. In previous years its been one or the other (federer or nadal) winning, with djokovic only being considered a genuine contender but this year, like Martin says its wide open. Federer just got past Andreev, Djokovic just got past Robredo, and Nadal isnt showing his dazzeling form he showed on the clay and on the grass but is still progressing.

As for the Murray vs Del Potro match it should be a good one. One that im going to miss as well being its my birthday today but it would be nice to come home and see that Murray is into the Semi Finals. Del Potro is clearly very very dangerous and I dont think you can take anything from their match in Rome in front of what seemed like two men and a dog. This time they are on Ashe, its the quarter finals of a grand slam between two of the form players of the hard court season. Should be a good one!

Like i said before, wasnt able to watch the match but saw some of it on sky sports news this morning and the lapses in concentration that I mentioned in my previous post seemed aparent blowing leads the first 3 sets and then starting slow in the 4th eventually coming out the winner in a long tight match up.

Del Potro was distraut in his post match press conference breaking down in tears and having to be ushered away from the media after his 23 match winning streak came to an end at the hands of Murray, who incidentally will now rise to a career high ranking of number 4 in the world following his first appearance in a grand slam quarter final.

Next up for Murray, Nadal

not the best match, with many errors both of them.nervous match but with big agony.
the two very poor tb from del potro cost him.murray has improved a lot
since last year, big difference as player.i am expecting the same for del potro for next year.
very nice reactions from both at the end.will be nice if del potro manages to qualify
in sanghai.tenth at the moment with very big chances
murray after this semis quarantees the 4rth spot at the race and ranks.
congrats to him.and as martin said wont be surprize if wins here.

remarkable happenings in the semis so far.
due to the fear of rain both semis are running at the moment, Federer is leading 2 sets to 1 against Nole while Murray won the first set against Nadal with two breaks!

Federer is playing beautiful tennis and has hit some amazing points, but Nole still has the amility wo win the match in five sets.

And rain is expected to come up in a few minutes..
