Okay I'm really worried about Maria now. Surely one doubles match can't have done that much damage? :dunno:

Bepa :heart2: What A tournament! :bananasrock:

I just read in a newspaper that Kim Clijsters will announce today, her return
to professional tennis. Is that true ? Or is it another stupid rumour ?

Kim Clijsters has been spotted with her coach and training a lot .. Also , her coach said that she can play at the same level as the better players on the tour .
So , as Kim Clijsters called a press conference it's very likely that she announces her return to competition .

Clijsters will almost certainly return to the tour. She is holding a press conference tomorrow in Bree, Belgium, where she will 'unveil her plans for 2009'. She has even contacted Lindsay Davenport to seek advice on travelling with children.
This is just the kind of player return the tour needs at the moment; a big name, who has won a grand slam, and has the potential to win more. It will certainly have much more of an impact than Davenport's return because Kim is alot younger and could still reach the very top of the game again, whereas it was always going to be a very tough up-hill struggle for Lindsay, particularly since she got injured regularly.
What is easy to forget is that Clijsters is actually slightly younger than even Daniela, and in that sense, could have many years ahead of her on the tour, just like the Slovak.

Indian Wells semi-finalist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova came from TRIPLE MATCH-POINT DOWN to beat qualifier Aravane Rezai in three sets today, 4-6 7-5 6-3.
That will surely be very tough for Rezai to stomach, particularly since it would have been a nice win as Pavlyuchenkova is in good form and Rezai has not had great results of late.

yup Rezai was serving for the second set and had 40-0. Now the two Indian Wells semifinalists, Pavlyuchenkova and Azarenka have to met each other in the next round tomorrow. Want could have been the Indian Wells Final is now a second round match in Miami

Yep. If only they had used Monday's rankings for this draw...

Good article on Victoria Azarenka.

thank you very much

Vika has just won Miami. I am happy about that, though, it wasn't a good match. I had expected more, but no long rallies, few ventures to the net. Vika had a great winner when running to her forehand side and hitting it down-the-line, and then they had a fun rally with both players at the net, but other than that, it was mostly Serena hitting errors.
