No problem, Christina. You're a big Victoria fan so if I come across something on her then I'll post it here.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

she played soooo poorly. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. A year ago she was pronounce to be the new young clay specialist who would do nothing on hard courts. Well IMO she managed to improve on hard courts but her clay court game suffered apparently. Damn it was bad from her. Cohen-Aloro played well, but not 60 63 well.

Big big upset: Victoria Azarenka (WTA 8) has been beaten comfortably by Gisela Dulko (WTA 34) in the second round of Stuttgart. In their previous meeting on clay (Berlin 2008), Azarenka had beaten Dulko 6-3 6-1.

The Dulko result is bad for Daniela as well since she is just ahead of Daniela in the race to be seeded for Roland Garros.

not sure about that. But I am strangely infatuated with Vika, but I don't think anyone can take Danka's spot, but right now, I get more upset with Vika losing since she is the confident top10 player and Danka is the less confident veteran fighting her way back.

Ivanovic's relatively poor season continues with a third round loss to A.Radwanska in Rome. The Serb was 4-0 up in the deciding set but Radwanska managed to reel off six straight games.
Nadia Petrova is also out, losing to Mauresmo's conqueror Martinez Sanchez in three sets.
World number 1 Safina is through (just about), narrowly beating Zheng Jie 5-7 6-1 7-6[3]. Zheng served for the match at *5-4 in the third set, and was 3-1* up in the tie-break, but Safina won six straight points to take the match and reach the quarter-finals where she'll play Martinez Sanchez.

Quarter-final line-up:

SAFINA [1] v MARTINEZ SANCHEZ

V.WILLIAMS [4] or CHAKVETADZE v RADWANSKA [10]

KUZNETSOVA [7] v JANKOVIC [3]

AZARENKA [6] v KANEPI [16]

Venus versus Svetlana final?

nah. Venus barely won her previous match. I don't see her reaching the final.

Venus has taken the first set 6-0 against Chakvetadze. The Russian isn't in great form but thats still a good set of tennis from Venus. I think her chances are good this week.
